Samuel B. Vaughn, DVM – Owner of Stonefield Veterinary Associates
Dr. Vaughn graduated with honors in 1984 from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. He spent 5 years volunteering at the Louisville Zoo, learning all he could about birds and exotics. In 1989, Dr. Vaughn accepted a position as the management doctor for Veterinary Associates Stonefield. After 2 short years, he purchased Stonefield and became the sole owner and President of the practice. Dr. Vaughn became Board Certified in Avian Medicine and Surgery in 1994. Stonefield continued to grow and in 1998 moved to a new state of the art facility. Dr. Vaughn has many clients in the Louisville area as well as referral patients from over 3 hours away. Thus, he has become known as the Birdman of Kentucky! He loves all of his patients, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rabbits, ferrets, and guinea pigs, among other animals.
